Interpretation and Visual Design Officer
We are excited to announce a unique opportunity to join the Blackpool Zoo Education team as an Interpretation and Visual Design Officer.
As Interpretation and Visual Design Officer you will be an individual who can create engaging, innovative and inspiring visitor communication for a variety of Blackpool Zoo audiences. The role will include ensuring that the Blackpool Zoo brand is consistently applied and reflects the wider conservation landscape along with accurate and exciting information about the Blackpool Zoo animals. You will be directly responsible for the overall design and illustrative graphic/visuals for use in exhibit display, park signage, department publications.
The role requires a National Certificate or Diploma in art, design or a relevant discipline plus experience. A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics and a good knowledge of natural history, the role of zoos and current conservation and environmental issues is essential, as is experience in Adobe Illustrator.
