What are you looking for?
UPDATE - the zoo is reopening Monday 12th April 2021.
Blackpool Zoo will be closed from Thursday 5th November.
The health of our visitors, staff and animals, is our top priority. In light of the most recent announcement from the government, we will be temporarily closing Blackpool Zoo at the close of business on Wednesday 4th November, and will be re-opening on Wednesday 2nd December.
Please be assured that our dedicated keeper team will continue to provide the best care for our animals during the closure, and we’ll keep you informed through our website and social media channels.
We apologise for any disappointment and thank you for your patience.
I'm a Member, what does this mean for my Membership?
2021 Renewals are still on sale and Members have two options - you can renew now for 2021 and save 50% off the price of a new Membership. You can continue to renew online as usual and just collect your new cards on your next visit. If you choose not to renew, your Membership will automatically expire on 31st May 2021. You can find out more about your options here.
I have a ticket booked for a visit between November 5th and December 1st, what should I do?
If you have tickets booked for any day of the closure, we will transfer your ticket to any date before the end of January 2021 - please email your details and date preference to tickets@blackpoolzoo.org.uk.
I have an Animal Experience voucher that's expiring soon, what should I do?
Unfortunately we’ve had to suspend both the sale and booking of all Animal Experiences. If you have a voucher that's expiring soon, please email info@blackpoolzoo.org.uk and we will arrange an extension.
Can I still book tickets for a future visit?
We would love to welcome you back as soon as the zoo reopens and at the moment we're planning to reopen our gates on Wednesday 2nd December. Tickets are still available to book online from this date here. If you're a Member, you can book your next visit here. Should that date change, we'll be in touch with anyone who's booking may be affected.
How can I still support Blackpool Zoo during this lockdown?
As we're not a registered charity we're unable to set up a funding page. All we ask is that you follow us on Social Media, spread the word and help us reach as many people as possible when we are open again. We're working on plans to sell Animal Adoptions and other gifts online in the run up to Christmas so please keep an eye out on our Social Media and website for more information.
What measures will you have in place once the zoo reopens?
It's impossible to predict what restrictions will be in place when we reopen, but we can tell you what we have been doing so far to keep our visitors, staff and animals safe. Full details of all our measures can be found here.
I have a question, how can I get in touch?
To keep our staff as safe as possible, we currently have a smaller-than-usual team working at the zoo. This means you may struggle to get through on the phone and it might take us a little longer than usual to answer enquiries. If your question hasn't been answered above, please email info@blackpoolzoo.org.uk and our team will get back to you as soon as possible.
