A Curse upon Blackpool Zoo at Halloween!

Can you help us brew a potent potion to cure the curse?

Halloween will be upon us soon and with it the curse of the harvest moon.
Old Blacke Pool, he has no fear, he’s stolen a keeper from our midst, we fear!
Make your potion, stir your pot, throw in anything you’ve got!
Follow the footsteps far and wide to find our keeper – we’re mystified!

Sounds intriguing? Then join us from the 22nd October – 6th November to take part in our spooky trail to find the whereabouts of our missing zoo keeper. Read the signs and write your recipe for the life-saving potion we need to find him or her before the nights draw in for a long, cold winter. Hand in your potent potion recipe at the shop before sundown to save him (and be entered into a prize draw to win a 2017 Membership)!

The animals can share this magical time with tasty pumpkin treats that you’ve carved! Join our daily Pumpkin Workshop in the Children’s Farm from 12pm and work your magic on these giants of the vegetable world! On the big day itself (Monday 31st) we're carving twice as many pumpkins, in the Children's Farm at 11.50am and 2.10pm.

Do you like to dress up? Of course you do! Any child visiting the zoo in FULL fancy dress on 29th, 30th or 31st October will recieve a special Halloween pack. We’ll also give prizes for the best Halloween fancy dress costumes on Monday 31st October. Guide your broomstick to the 2 o’clock sea lion display and prizes will be there for the taking! You just need to bewitch mum or grandma into some creative sewing! Adults can dress up too!
