Blackpool Zoo's Wizarding Wildlife School

Our Wizarding Wildlife School will open from Saturday, 18th October - Friday, 31st October, 2025, with VIP Masterclasses available from Saturday, 25th October - Friday, 31st October, 2025.

• Wandering Wizard Talks – Follow the trail of the Wandering Wizards! With a flick of their cloaks and a sparkle of spellcraft, these magical guides will lead you on spellbinding adventures, revealing fun facts, animal enchantments, and wild wisdom along the way.
• Dinorion – Step into Dinorion, where the ancient guardians of the earth still roam!
• Guardianis Trail – Embark on the Magical Animal Match Trail and uncover your destined Guardianis animal. At the end of the journey, speak the spell to one of our wizards to receive your certificate!
• Magic Makeover Station* – Once you've uncovered your Guardianis animal, enhance the magic by heading to the Magic Makeover Station and be transformed to your Guardianis animal!
• Wildermere Express* – All aboard the Wildermere Express! Ride the enchanted tracks as the creatures of Wildermere reveal their secrets….
• Enchanted Eats Emporium* – Treat yourself to our exclusive Zoolumia drink and indulge yourself at The Churro Charmery.
• The Keepers Curiosity Shop* – After your magical day, find that perfect souvenir to remember your day! Open from 12pm.

From Saturday 25^th October – Friday 31^st October 2025, between 2.30pm - 4.30pm, the wizarding adventure grows, with all of the above as well as:

• The Owl Tower of Talons – Step into the mysterious world of magical birds! Unravel owl pellets, discover the secrets hidden in feathers, and learn the enchantments of these wise, winged creatures.
• Serpent Studies – Dare to approach the realm of reptiles! At the serpent studies table you will encounter scales, skins, and secrets of snakes and their kin!
• Keeper Hat Classification Ceremony – The moment every young wizard has been waiting for! Step forward and let the enchanted Keeper’s Hat reveal your magical classification. Which wizarding house will you be destined to join?

Unlock the secrets of advanced wizardry in these group, bookable sessions for witches and wizards aged 7+. From potion-brewing and spellcraft to caring for magical creatures, these immersive experiences will test your magical skills and reward you with treasures to take home.

VIP Masterclasses are an exclusive experience designed for budding witches and wizards aged 7+ priced at £10.00 per person, on top of your regular zoo ticket.  

Available twice daily from Saturday, 25th October to Friday, 31st October 2025, at:

• 10.30am to 11.30am
• 12.00pm to 1.00pm

Alongside the magical activities mentioned on the first tab, students will embark on spellbinding experiences, including:

• Potions and Poisons – Stir, mix, and conjure your own magical brews while uncovering the mysterious world of venomous and toxic creatures.
• Care of Magical Creatures – Step in the shoes of a true Magizoologist! Get up close with an array of enchanting creatures rarely seen this way!
• Herbology – Harness the magic of nature as you plant your very own enchanted seed to nurture at home.
• Wand Making Workshop – No wizard is complete without a wand! Shape and decorate your very own enchanted wand, ready to channel your inner witch or wizard.

• You must purchase both zoo tickets and VIP Lesson tickets to participate.
• The VIP Masterclass tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, please check all the details carefully at the time of booking
• The VIP Masterclass lasts for one hour and has limited daily availability.
• The minimum age is 7+ years to participate in the VIP Masterclass. We are unable to permit entry to any children under this age.
• Children will be supervised by the Education team during the VIP Masterclass sessions.
• Only paying participants will be able to enter the wizarding tent. If an adult wishes to accompany their child during the session, they must also be a paying participant, as space and numbers are very limited. Please note the activities are designed for children.
• Zoo members must bring their membership card with them on the day to gain admission into the zoo.
• Zoo members only need to purchase VIP Masterclass tickets if they are wanting to participate in this extra activity.
• Children with a registered disability can have one adult attend with them free of charge, please bring proof with you on the day and show it at admissions on arrival to collect the ticket. Essential companions will require a ticket to enter the wizarding tent.

• A completed agreement form must be returned prior to the event; an email will be sent within 3 days of your booking with additional information and a form to complete.
