This summer, visit our Kids' Discovery Zone, which is packed with bugs, bones, and brilliant discoveries! Kids can touch, learn, and explore by getting hands-on with animal artefacts, up-close mini-beast encounters, and exciting hidden surprises!

10.00 am - 11.30 am: Welcome to the Zoo (at the tortoise habitat)

11.15 am: Elephants (at Base Camp)

11.30 am: Penguins (at Penguin Cove)

11.45 am: Orangutans followed by meet the keeper (at Orangutan Outlook)

12.00 pm: Bird demonstration (at Display Arena)

12:10 pm: Lemurs (at Lemur Wood)

12:15 pm: Camels (at the camel habitat)

12:30 pm: Sea lion demonstration (at the Active Oceans Arena)

12:45 pm: Big cats (at Big Cat Habitat)

12.50 pm: Monkeys (at the spider monkey habitat)

1.00 pm: Sea lion demonstration (at the Active Oceans Arena)

1.00 pm: Otters (at the otter habitat)

1.20 pm: Gorillas (overlooking Gorilla Mountain)

1.30 pm: Penguins (at Penguin Cove)

1.30 pm - 2.30 pm: Kids Discovery Zone (at the Display Arena)

1.40 pm: Elephants (at Base Camp)

1.40 pm: Capybaras (at the capybara and anteater habitat)

1.50 pm: Boa snake followed by meet the keeper (at the common boa habitat)

2.10 pm: Big cats followed by meet the keeper (at Big Cat Habitat)

2.30 pm: Sea lion demonstration (at the Active Oceans Arena)

2.45 pm: Dinosaur Discovery Walk (at Dinosaur Safari entrance)

2.50 pm: Lemurs (at Lemur Wood)

3.00 pm: Bird demonstration (at the Display Arena)

3.20 pm: Elephants followed by meet the keeper (at Base Camp)

3.30 pm - 4.30 pm: Kids Discovery Zone (at the Display Arena)

3.40 pm: Big cats (at Big Cat Habitat)

3.50 pm: Giraffes (at Giraffe Heights)

4.00 pm: Sea lion demonstration (at the Active Oceans Arena)

4.30 pm: Dinosaur Discovery Walk (at Dinosaur Safari entrance)

Activities are weather/staff permitting. Delays or cancellations may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. Arena seating is limited – arrive early to avoid disappointment, as gates will close around 30 minutes before the demonstration begins. Prams and buggies are not allowed in the Active Oceans arena. We have a pram park next to the entrance and those with a sleeping child are able to watch the demonstration through the side windows, as the loudspeakers enable the commentary to be easily heard.
